About the role

Design sits at the center of the Two Chairs experience. As a Visual Designer on our team, you’ll help redefine mental healthcare, infusing every moment of the Two Chairs journey with care, joy, and beautifully branded tactics. This is an opportunity to use your visual, brand, and marketing chops to build a world where all people can access the effective, modern mental healthcare they deserve.

You’ll be joining a team of design craftspeople who are passionate about making a difference in mental healthcare — we’re all about building authentic empathy for our users, boldly reimagining their experiences, and paving the way towards a better mental healthcare system. All while caring for every single pixel. Surrounded by smart, ambitious and caring cross-functional teammates, you’ll have the opportunity to partner across all disciplines, developing deep partnerships with your creative, brand, and content counterparts.

You'll be responsible for designing the integrated marketing tactics that bring our brand to life. From top-of-funnel through the in-care experience, you’ll partner with the creative team to help make mental healthcare accessible to all.

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Apply the Two Chairs design system to the integrated marketing ecosystem we present to the world, collaborating closely with Design, Creative, and Content to ship on-brand, resonant marketing tactics.
  • Design landing pages, organic assets, paid assets, printed materials, 1-pagers, presentations, emails, data, and even company swag. You’ll ensure every designed touchpoint feels cohesive, successful, and delightful.
  • Build templates and systems that bring efficiency to your work and enable your marketing teammates to support your execution. You’ll improve speed-to-execution while simultaneously improving consistency.
  • Raise our visual design bar. You’ll partner directly with the Head of Design to develop the Two Chairs visual design system, introducing new ways to color inside the lines while continuously improving our brand guidelines.

Impact and Success Indicators

Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:

  • Develop deep, collaborative partnerships with your design peers.
  • Build strong relationships with your core counterparts in our marketing, brand, and content functions.
  • Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of our design systems.
  • Onboard to (then begin to own) the Two Chairs visual identity.
  • Ship tactics across the marketing ecosystem.

Where you’ll make an impact in the first year:

  • Raise the bar on design systems, brand consistency, and visual polish.
  • Design tactics throughout the marketing ecosystem.
  • Increase the fidelity of our visual brand documentation.
  • Infuse the team with your visual point-of-view.
  • Iterate and improve upon the process, protocols, and rituals that enable design at Two Chairs.
  • Champion design across the company.

You’ll be successful if you have:

  • A demonstrated history of launching thoughtful, beautiful work that contributes to key business goals. You value results (almost) as much as you value best-in-class design.
  • A strong grasp of modern marketing conventions and the ability to execute against them. You have working knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of paid, organic, web, print, and comms tactics.
  • Excellent visual design craft with stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and a knack for bringing delight into your deliverables. Your portfolio showcases mastery of type, space, form, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • An eye for the details. Your Figma files are pixel-perfect and beautifully organized.
  • Exceptional communication skills. You have strong interpersonal instincts and the poise to navigate the fast-paced ambiguity of a startup. You provide thorough, strategic rationale to align stakeholders towards your vision, and you feel energized when collaborating closely with a team.
  • Great perseverance and a superhuman low-ego. Flexibility is your superpower — you roll with the punches and roll up your sleeves.
  • Exposure to telemedicine platforms, healthcare compliance and regulatory standards (HIPAA or GDPR), and protected health information (PHI).
