VP of Finance - Accounting and Treasury

What we’re looking for…

The successful candidate will report to the CFO and be a strategic leader of the Finance team with 10+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience in a rapidly growing B2B VC-backed SaaS environment.

What you will be doing…

  • Direct all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all day to day functions related to general ledger, revenue, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting and analysis
  • Own the monthly financial reporting package and internal flux analysis. Lead any historical financial data/reporting to be shared w/ external investors. 
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP to be reviewed by the CFO
  • Lead process enhancement and formalization to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the monthly close process and all finance operations workflows (Quote to cash).   
  • Oversee M & A diligence and analysis of potential target acquisition companies. Own the financial integration for any successful acquisitions. 
  • Work closely with the FP&A team to analyze company's financial results. 
  • Lead the technical accounting analysis for complex client agreements, new technical guidance, and any other complex financial transactions. This will include a partnership with Deal desk on any complex and custom client agreements to secure a desirable revenue recognition outcome.   
  • Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting to ensure that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Oversee, coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, planning, compliance, returns and information in connection with our tax advisors (EY).
  • Managing Treasury function and operational cash flow in terms of client collections and A/P disbursements.
  • Manage and work closely with the Accounting Director on the annual audit (w/ Deloitte).
  • Build and scale the finance function as you manage, mentor and grow a team of Finance & Accounting professionals.
  • Interact with venture capital partners and board of directors, and experience with cap tables (via Carta).
  • Monthly compliance and reporting for Bank & Investor covenants.

Qualities you possess…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required
  • 10 plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience including managing a team.
  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated in through managing, developing and mentoring teams
  • Experience working in a growing B2B software subscription environment strongly preferred.
  • Public company experience and/or, IPO readiness experience is a plus
  • Experience scaling a finance operation for 20% to 30% growth in annual revenues.
  • Previous experience working with and presenting to C level and Board of Directors
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
  • Merger and acquisition finance experience, as the company considers strategic acquisitions.
