VP of People
About the Role:
Fundraise Up is hyper growing startup with 250 teammates around the world and on a path to grow to 1,000 people in the next few years. We are seeking a VP of People to own all People function: HR, Recruiting, Training & Development, Compensation and Benefits and Compliances. You'll start with existing team of 15 and we expect to double in the next few years. This role is senior leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
- Implement programs for professional development, leadership training, and career progression to enhance employee skills and engagement.
- Design and manage performance review processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues.
- Develop competitive compensation and benefits plans to attract and retain employees, including salary structures, bonuses, health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Maintain positive employee relations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a healthy work environment.
- Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and can thrive.
- Align the organization’s structure, culture, and workforce with its strategic objectives.
- Ensure the organization complies with all local and country employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement and revise HR policies and procedures to meet the organization’s needs and comply with legal standards.
- Using data and analytics to make informed decisions about workforce management, planning, and optimization.
- Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Participate in strategic planning at the executive level, aligning people strategies with business objectives.
- Be the keeper of our culture.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Deeply gets both Eastern European & USA cultures. LATAM plus.
- Full owned all pillars of People: Hiring, HR, Training and Compensations
- Certified in either SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
- No requirement for a US visa.
- Minimum of 15 years People experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as VP of People.
- Experience managing a team of 15-50 members and previously held a VP position at a tech cloud startup with 200-600 headcount.
- Reported to CEO/COO/CFO, not Chief People Officer
- Ability to work flexible hours, including sometimes after hours to sync with the US headquarters.
- Located in the CET timezone with availability to overlap with US working hours.
