VP of Product
About the role
We are looking for a VP of Product to help Pachama conceptualize, build and deliver the next phase of our vision for how carbon financing can truly unlock restoration and conservation of forests worldwide.
As a Product leader at Pachama, you will partner directly with our CEO and leadership team to help articulate our product vision and strategy. You will lead and mentor our team of product managers and designers to create user-focused roadmaps and ensure excellent, iterative delivery of those solutions. You will reinforce the importance of how we use technology to serve our corporate customers and landowner stakeholders. And you will have the opportunity to have an outsized impact on Pachama culture at large at a critical moment of our growth.

This role is remote within 3 hours of Pacific time.
Who We Are:
Pachama is a mission-driven company looking to restore nature to help address climate change. Pachama brings the latest technology in remote sensing and AI to the world of forest carbon in order to enable forest conservation and restoration to scale. Pachama’s core technology harnesses satellite imaging with artificial intelligence to measure carbon captured in forests. Through the Pachama marketplace, responsible companies and individuals can connect with carbon credits from projects that are protecting and restoring forests worldwide.
What You Will Help Us With:
- Help design, articulate and communicate our product vision, strategy and roadmaps
- Inspire and motivate our team to ensure alignment and progress forward to deliver business impact
- Instill a culture of continuous and rapid testing and learning to help us learn quickly from mistakes, iterate, and improve
- Ensure that we are consistently making customer and user-centric decisions, instilling best practices for research and customer research
- Mentor and lead our existing product management and design team to help them grow into ever better product thinkers
- Be part of our executive team and provide input into key cross-functional business needs and projects
Experience & Skills We're Looking For:
- Experience leading product teams for world-class, high-growth technology startups ideally through the series B through D stages
- Customer obsession and a bend towards iterative learning and shipping
- Demonstrated success of launching brand new products, ideally on platforms with multiple user groups
- Empathetic leadership and an experience growing and mentoring a team
- Creativity and ambition to create something absolutely new while balancing vision with practical execution
