The Wires and International Payments team continues to evolve as we respond to the growing needs of our Clients and deliver new innovations. We are seeking a VP Product Owner who thrives in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized and self-motivated, who is passionate, innovative, customer focused, process and controls oriented, and can coalesce a cross functional team to deliver improvements for our customers. The successful candidate will also ensure the successful execution of the various work streams as part of their project. They should have a solid understanding of agile execution methodologies as they will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle to aid in successful project completion. This includes discovery, design, requirement gathering, engagement in scrum development, and test management.

This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Knowledge of payment products and best-in-class consumer experiences
  • Proficiency in business applications, data usage and management
  • Ability to liaison between lines of business, technology, and design teams, effectively translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop meaningful relationships with both external stakeholders as well as internal teams to achieve common goals
  • Experience in Fraud/Risk strategy management
  • Responsibilities Develops a product vision which delights our customers while delivering seamless experiences for moving funds domestically and cross-border
  • Manages and refines product backlog items to drive value in accordance with the business and /or stakeholder priorities
  • Define scope and create associated functional and non-functional JIRA epics/stories
  • Work closely with tech, design, and other support teams to deliver the vision
  • Collaborate with the execution teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of product features
  • Identify, communicate, and manage cross-team dependencies and risks
  • Stakeholder/Partner Engagement:
  • Engage closely with cross-functional stakeholders and partners to define capabilities and experiences that meets business and client needs
  • Support the day to day operational needs of the product
  • Track and measure initiatives
  • Monitor product metrics
  • Perform analysis to determine new opportunities
  • Monitor client / employee feedback
  • Monitor competitor and market developments
  • Provide guidance and support to production issues
  • Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience and/or hands-on product management/ownership or business analysis experience, consulting, or relevant transferrable skills including in design and technology
  • Financial services, payments background is a plus
  • Agile project management experience, including use of agile project management tools (i.e. Confluence, JIRA, Figma, Git, etc.).
  • Experience in Fraud/Risk strategy management is preferred
  • Ability to manage and execute product backlog.
  • Ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage continuously shifting business priorities
  • Experience working with distributed scrum teams a plus
  • Well versed in both business and technology
  • Be self-motivated and confident in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Strong influencing and partnership / collaboration skills to drive cross-functional team
