Workspace Manager & Editor
Hi!
We need a workspace manager who can help us manage our day-to-day blog activities remotely.
We have 4 different blogs, in business, marketing, AI and Future Tech niches. This doesn't mean we want someone with a tech background. We want a quick learner. Someone who understands how to talk and manage a team of 10-15 freelancers.
What Does The Work Look Like?
You'll be essentially in charge of three workspaces combined into one consolidated Notion environment. Notion project management tool we use.
Your Job Includes, But Does Not Limit To
- Editing blog posts submitted by freelancers. Basic blog post editing skills and knowledge of WordPress backend will help.
- Handle and manage everything that happens in our Notion workspace.
- Make sure the quality of blog posts, motivation of the freelancers, and communication between the founder and freelancers.
- You will become the point of contact between the founder and anything in between. You will be responsible for handling collaboration emails, attending meetings for the company, and more.
- Onboard new freelancers, introduce them to the team and help them pick up their work.
- You'll be taking meetings with partnership managers from different companies, on an ad-hoc basis. You'll be responsible for closing partnership deals which will earn you a 10% cut of each deal.
Is This a Lot Of Work?
Actually, no. Most of the work is streamlined and automated to maximize productivity.
Inside, Notion, everything happens in an organized way. It's one dashboard where you communicate, assign new tasks, and manage the content planner.
All you do is click one button to assign a task to an author, and they move their tasks to a column that shows they are currently working on it, and so on.
We have a graphic designer in place. All you will be doing is entering a few details and waiting for them to send you the graphics (featured images).
The main job is to manage the whole team and provide consistency to the blog; Ensuring we are publishing at the pace we set.
You'll get a business email where you'll also join in to be a part of collaboration offers.
Your work will also include minute tasks that relate to the company.
This is a freelancer position; however, we would have a contract for 6 months in place. Once the six-month period is complete, we will re-discuss the comp based on your performance.
Keep in mind, this isn't an easy job. And it's not always sunshine. Times will come when you will have to face complex situations and hold yourself accountable.
You're free to work at your own pace; it's not a 9-5 job.
You will be paid $250/month for the first six months of the job. We will renegotiate when we build a rapport and move forward together.
I'm looking for teammates who believe in the long-term and are not typical freelancers. You must have values, values that go way beyond money.
Your job will directly affect the results of the blog, which will affect what you'll get paid.
Thanks,
