Fanatics is in search of a International Tax Director for their growing department. This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing, fast paced business or for experienced International tax profession coming out of a National CPA firm looking to make the transition from public to private. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • US tax compliance related to foreign operations including forms 5471, 8858, etc. 
  • Oversee calculations for GILTI, FDII, Subpart F and 163(J). 
  • Assist with the Quarterly and annual ASC 740 international tax provision 
  • Forecasting effective tax rates and cash taxes 
  • Assist in identifying, executing and implementing strategic international tax planning opportunities including research and tax modeling 
  • Managing and assisting with evaluating the international tax consequences of business projects, operating strategies, and cash management 
  • Working cross-functionally to identify and execute tax efficient strategies to support cash repatriation and global cash management 
  • Collaborating with transfer pricing advisors to advise on strategies for intercompany transactions and ensuring global transfer pricing compliance including studies, local files, master file, etc. where necessary 
  • Working closely with the broader tax organization to develop global tax structures and ensure cohesive planning and compliance 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key individuals across finance, legal, supply chain and the business groups to ensure tax is at the forefront of business decisions and any tax risks associated with operational changes are proactively managed/mitigated 
  • Partnering with the organization to ensure tax efficient and compliant structuring 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in accounting, finance or tax from an accredited institution 
  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience within US international tax matters in a National CPA firm or a Fortune 500 Company with a large international footprint. 
  • Strong quantitative skills and technical knowledge of US international taxation (e.g., subpart F, GILTI, FTC, FDII, BEAT). 
  • Experience in US and international tax compliance and income tax accounting, including exposure to ASC 740 
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including experience communicating complex tax issues and requirements to people without a tax background 

The salary range for this position in NY is $212,000 to $329,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. We will consider fully remote with a strong preference the hire be close to one of main offices.
